Tweaks to relic system and reactivations. (4/21/09)

So now that we have a few months of sponsorships under our belt, we're going to tweak the system a bit in order to address a few concerns we're constantly spammed with.

Relic System

This follows the same pattern as before, only now with a lot more detail based on needs/wants.

1. Determine which coins sponsor needs and distribute to sponsor. Self-explanatory.

2. Allow sponsor a chance to find trade outlets. We have yet to really enforce this with any form of a deadline. The tweak to this step is to implement a deadline to find their partners. This deadline is effectively the day we sell coins each month meaning the sponsor will have a minimum of 37-38 days from the time their sponsor month starts to find trade outlets.

3. Sell excess coins to LS members. On the second Sunday of each month, Yoteo or I will be distributing coins. Up until now, Yoteo has had his hands full trying to balance a real life with the demands of upgraders in game, so I will be stepping in to assist him with this. The 2nd Sunday of each month is absolutely the ONLY day we will sell coins. Should this day be missed due to an update or the rare chance Yoteo and I both are MIA, we will distribute them the following Sunday.

4. Distribute leftover coins and gil from sales back to the sponsor that same day (or the next day they happen to be online).

A couple quick notes as well:

If you cannot make the 2nd Sunday each month to buy coins, you can designate a proxy in your stead. Yoteo and I can no longer be considered proxies for coin distribution, so please do not hand us gil and say "buy what you can" to either of us.

It needs to be made clear to sponsors that while the coins we collect during the course of a month are yours, it does NOT mean you will end up with that number of coins you collected. Sponsors are guaranteed the coins they need (i.e. jades, silvers or bynes) and the rest will either be converted into gil per upgraders buying it or will be handed back to you. We will make every effort to convert these coins into gil as we do not want sponsors making money off this system.

It also needs to be made clear to upgraders that if you need a certain coin and that particular month those coins are needed by a sponsor, you're out of luck.

Lastly, the LS Bank itself will be counted as an upgrader from time to time as we need to keep a small supply of 100-150 singles on hand for people upgrading AF+1. We will go about this in one of two ways:

1. We will refund a Glacier run to the sponsor and collect the coins ourselves for the bank.
2. We will purchase some excess coins from the sponsor at the end of the month.


Reactivations

- On Hiatus: If you bothered to tell us you're going to be away, you can deactivate/reactivate your account as many times as you want. As long as you do not reach the one year deactivation limit, your points are fine.

- Inactive/Former Member: If you can't be arsed to tell us you're going to be away for an extended period of time, you get ONE re-activation. If your status gets changed to Inactive/Former member a 2nd time, find another linkshell.

Again, we're not going to be complete assholes about it as certain extreme circumstances can cause failures to notify us, but generally speaking, there is a way to send word to someone.
